As the Founder and Principal Designer at Vakr Studio, Devyani Gupta, has been conceptualising and producing customized bespoke luxury handcrafted products that blur the line between Furniture, Art and Sculpture. Utilizing laws of physics to bring forth Indian Arts and Craft in a different and new limelight while, creating statement products and spaces. The ethos of Vakr is based on an immersive furniture through an exploration of sensual, organic and sophisticated forms fueled by a commitment to explore Indian Craft as global language.

INTERACTIVE OUTDOOR INSTALLATION AT
ALLIANCE FRANCAISE, DELHI
Installed at the Alliance Francaise Courtyard in 2020, this colorful landscape element is versatile as a seating for all and a fun playard for the young ones, The display while being functional, also calls out the role of aesthetics and design in our everyday lives.
Recently the same installation was requested in a different configuration at an inaugural event in Jor Bagh, as a seating installation.

Work Executed: Indoor Standing Bar Table with a 200 Kilo artificial Olive tree installed in the center of the Standing Bar. The bar was designed and technically executed as per the weight of the tree. Free standing and movable, the bar is not anchored to the ground.

Work Executed: Parametric Ceiling in co-ordination with the mood board , furniture layout and material palette. To be installed as a Bar Ceiling and flowing into the seating area, the undulating ceiling fins warp through the entire length of the ceiling.

Work Executed: Unique Ceiling proposal which adds an Indian Art Deco look to the residence. Derived from Ikat patterns, the ceiling finished in micro concrete gives the space- brings the different nuances of the space together.

Work Executed: Customized Wall Shelves making an entire elevation. This includes a 15 Feet Runningshelf with our signature rattan work. A Set of Customized Coffee Tables in the same finish to compliment the wall design.

Work Executed: Customized Ceiling design running across the 1000 Sq Yard House – undulating in length in the center and gradually tapering at the corners. The ceiling has been designed keeping in mind the light and electrical fixtures in place and in tandem with the style and semantics of the intended design by the designer.
