Virach – is a composition of different weaves in different materials and patterns. In a never before avatar , this carpet denotes the versatility of the Indian handloom in conjunction with rattan weave. Rattan work till now has generally been seen in the form of rectangular chattai’s. Common for Angans and outdoor spaces, the chattai was somewhere lost in the Indian household urbanscape.

Reintroducing the rattan weave in conjunction with premium carpet weave to produce morphologies and textures. This exploration creates a bridge between two very different age old craft forms and opens door to limitless possibility, with both the crafts offering wide range of variety within their own domain.
